This game runs at a faster pace than a real airport. However, they are much slower paced and require a much more meticulous attention to subtle details. There are other titles out there that are much more realistic (I enjoy those too). There is no mistaking that Airport Madness 3D is a game, rather than a simulator. Not as Real as It Gets, But in a Good Way On those days, there is absolutely nothing cooler than climbing into the tower and watching planes follow our instructions. And so, it is perfect for us, especially just after getting home from a couple of hours of plane watching. The thing is, we are both aviation nuts, and love hanging out at the local airport and watching planes take off and land. My son, Alex, and I have been playing it, off and on, since it came out three years ago. I should point out here that this is not a new game. They have the same runway layouts as the real facilities, but are smaller in scale and with fewer taxiways. The fact that all of the airports in the games are simplified versions of real world airports was something that pleased me from the start. It is a single-player air traffic control game for the PC that puts the player in the tower cab of airports of varying sizes and complexity.
